Privacy Policy

In force since 11 July 2026

Most privacy policies describe systems the site does not run. This one describes only what animalverseme.com actually does, which is not much, and what would have to change before it did more.

Local storage, not tracking cookies

animalverseme.com stores two small values in your browser's local storage: the language you chose, and whether you dismissed the notice at the bottom of the screen. They stay on your device, are never sent to a server, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.

Advertising

This site does not display third-party advertising and contains no affiliate links. No advertising network profiles visitors here. If advertising is introduced in future, this page will be updated before it appears and the advertising will be visually separated from editorial content.

Server logs

The hosting provider records standard web-server logs — IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time. These are generated by the server itself, used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, and are not linked to any identity by us.

The contact form

The form on the contact page is processed by FormSubmit, a third-party form service, which forwards the message to our editorial inbox. It receives the name, email address and message you type. We use those only to reply. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Who else is involved

Two companies: the hosting provider that serves the pages, and FormSubmit, which delivers contact messages. Nobody else receives data from this site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the Brazilian LGPD you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice the only personal data we ever hold is a message you chose to send us. Write to contact@animalverseme.com and we will act within thirty days.

Children

This site is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and there is no mechanism on the site by which a child could register or submit anything beyond the contact form.

How long we keep messages

Contact messages are kept while the exchange is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the same reader writes again, then deleted. You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner.

Changes to this policy

If the practices described here change, the text and the date at the top of this page change with them. There is no separate archive of previous versions; the current page is always the operative one.
